Titanium grade 3

Titanium is a strong yet lightweight metal. Titanium comes in different grades, of which grades 1 – 4 are commercially pure. Grade 3 is the third of the four grades of commercially pure titanium. It is very highly corrosion resistant, even in pure chloride solutions up to 70°. Grade 3 is twice as strong as grade 1, comparable to the stronger, austenitic types of stainless steel. Additionally, the ultimate tensile strength (UTS) of grade 3 is 30% higher as the UTS of grade 2. Grade 3 titanium is also highly weldable.
