Job Description

You are the missing link, the high performer, the golden opportunity that helps our rapidly growing company reach new heights. You’ll be working in a beautiful, newly completed facility. You will work directly with our small and dynamic team, which includes the director/owner, an inside assistant.the purchasing and logistics service and an account manager. Here, you won’t find any hierarchical nonsense; every day, we work together to achieve great successes. You’ll be given the responsibility and the freedom to develop yourself. Of course, we don’t expect you to know everything from the start; we will teach you all the ins and outs, step by step. In no time, you’ll be able to call yourself a specialist in high-performance metals, and we’ll celebrate that moment together!

What does a day at Metel look like?

We start the day together, and we love good coffee. There are requests from existing clients, but new requests also come in through the website from both existing and new clients. We discuss these requests so that you can prepare the quotes. After drafting the quote, we walk through it together.which, especially in the beginning, we work through together completely. Once everything is perfect, it can be sent and followed up on. We believe in a personal approach, so reaching out to the (potential) customer is encouraged. Once the order is confirmed, everything needs to be ordered, invoiced, and scheduled. You ensure the correct delivery time and keep our customers informed about the progress. During our shared lunch, we can relax a bit and refocus to tackle the work ahead. You have great ideas on how we can optimize our processes even further, and we welcome that input; there’s always room for higher performance. The phone rings, and a customer emails with a question about the correct application of one of our metals. Together with the team, we formulate the response.rd. The account manager calls to inform you about an exciting new project coming up. Together, you discuss the terms and input the order. It’s Friday afternoon, and a fine bottle is taken from the wine fridge. There’s something to celebrate—your first week is complete!

Your Profile

    • You have a Bachelor’s level of thinking and working in a commercial and/or technical field.
    • You have proven experience in a similar role within a technical trading company or industrial sector.
    • You have an interest in special metals and are capable of understanding and communicating technical information.
    • You possess excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in the German language is advantageous.

  • You are commercially minded, results-oriented, and have strong analytical skills.
  • You are a team player but can also work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in international trade and familiarity with the mentioned industries is a plus.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Requesting and developing quotes, managing existing customer relationships, and expanding the customer base.
    • Actively approaching potential customers and generating new sales opportunities.
    • Providing technical advice and information about our special metals to customers.
    • Preparing and following up on quotes, contracts, and sales orders.
    • Coordinating internal processes

regarding order processing, delivery, and invoicing.

  • Collaborating with the technical team to understand customer inquiries and needs, and to offer solutions.
  • Contributing to the development and execution of sales strategies and plans.
