What is AMS 5662?

What is AMS 5662 used for?

Material Properties

Inconel 718 according to AMS 5662 combines high mechanical strength with excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance at temperatures up to approximately 700 °C. Thanks to precipitation hardening (aging), the material retains its strength under prolonged thermal and mechanical stress. It is also well machinable and weldable for a superalloy of this type.
