The doping limits grain growth during high-temperature processes, allowing the material to retain a finer microstructure than undoped molybdenum.
Besides the low paramagnetic behavior, Type 365 retains the core characteristics of Molybdenum: a high melting point, good conductivity, and low thermal expansion.
The more stable grain structure contributes to less creep and deformation during prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
Type 365 is used in specialized electronic and measuring equipment where magnetic interference must be limited, and in precision components for high-temperature furnace technology.
Additionally, the material is used in sputter targets where consistent layer formation is required.
